Mercer County Mentoring

Mercer County Mentoring is a non-profit organization that connect children in Mercer County with a mentor.

Our mission is Supporting Children through the Power of Positive Relationships.

The program connects supportive and caring mentors that provide a positive and encouraging relationship, with children between the ages of five and fifteen to give them the support, direction and friendship that they need to grow to their fullest potential.

Being part of Mercer County Mentoring has been one of the best experiences of my life. Mentoring a child truly enriched my life by giving me an opportunity to give back to the community and to be there for someone who needed a friend.

I’ve been mentoring for the past 5 months and it has already been a life changing experience. I hope to be a positive role model for my mentee and to continue to be a stable person he can rely on throughout the upcoming years.

Just by giving an hour with the children you could see how happy they were from an hour a week of people devoting their time to them. It really shows you how people don’t need objects, people need affection and love.
